V1.50

The “Setup > Tune RIG by > Show Omni-Rig Setup” command activates Omni-Rig setup dialog.

The “Setup > Spectrogram Colors Setup” and “Setup > Oscillogram Colors Setup” menus can change colors of all elements of spectrogram or oscillogram window now.

V1.47

A problem of frequency control of some RIG types was fixed.

When the “Setup > AFC at mouse click” option is selected a fast AFC is made by click at spectrogram, but it is not made by click at frequency ruler below now.

The “Setup > AFC at Mouse Click” option was made. When this option is selected CwGet make fast AFC to near station after mouse click on spectrogram regardless of the “AFC” button state.

The “Setup > Tune RIG by” menu switches on the mode of automatic transceiver frequency control. In this mode transceiver radio frequency is changed to consist RX frequency to TX frequency. Auto-tuning is made after click on spectrogram or by “GoToMax” command. Tuning can be made by RIT or by VFO according selected option. Take to attention that not every transceiver has programmable RIT. In this case auto-tuning by RIT is impossible. Tuning is made via OmniRig software interface. Hamport software uses this interface also.

AFC has two parameters now. The first parameter is local deviation in hertzs, i.e. maximal deviation from current frequency. Second parameter is global deviation in hertzs, i.e. maximal deviation from last user-selected frequency. User-selected frequency is shown at spectrogram by short thin line.

A one minute sound buffer was made. The “Replay” button click makes CwGet to replay previous 10 seconds of received signal. The The “Save” button writes previous 60 seconds of a sound to a wave file in the “Waves” directory. Special macrosequences can be used in the CwType software (V1.32 and later) to control this sound buffer also.

The “File > Open Wave Capture File” command opens wave-file to save all received from soundcard sound. File is closed by the “File > Close Wave Capture File” command.

A frequency ruler was made.

To move a visible part of spectrogram to left or right you need to drag it by mouse with Alt key pressed now.

CwGet removes all spaces in selected text transferred to a logger now.

The option “Setup > Catch Word by One Mouse Click” was made. When this option is enabled, you can catch a word from RX window by single mouse click, not double-click. But you still can select the part of the text by a mouse dragging.

The “Setup > Catch Words in Contest Mode” option was made. In this mode software doesn't use popup-menu to catch word to logger. CwGet recognize callsign or control number automatically.

The “Setup > Copy Transferred Data to Clipboard” option was made. When this option is enabled, data transferred to logger are copied to the Windows clipboard also.

CwGet can decode signals from WAVE-file now. See the “File > Decode From File” command. WAVE-file must be Windows PCM file, without compression. Preferred file parameters are mono, 16 bit, 11025 Hz.

If your sound card supports a full-duplex mode, you can use CwGet as narrow-band sound DSP-filter now. The bandwidth of a sound filter is selected by the “Setup > Sound Output” menu.

If there are several sound cards in a computer, you can select the card by the “SoundCardNumber” parameter of [CwGet] section of the CWGET.INI file. “SoundCardNumber=0” means a first sound card, “SoundCardNumber=1” means a second card etc. Negative value means system default sound card.

The command “File > Open Buffer in Notepad” was made. It saves receiving buffer in a temporary file and opens this file by a text editor. Then you can view this file or print it. The hotkey of this command is “Ctrl-N”. This command is available in registered version of the software only.

The main filter and amplitude detector was fully rewritten.

A set of main filter bandwidths was extended.

“Alt-D” shortcut was made for the “Clear Buffer” command.

The “Setup > Logarithmic Spectrogram” menu command or “Alt-Z” hotkey switch spectrogram window between linear or logarithmic scale. Analogously, the “Setup > Logarithmic Oscillogram” menu command or “Ctrl-Z” hotkey change oscillogram window scale.

Background colors of spectrogram and oscillogram windows can be changed now. See “Setup > Spectrogram Background Setup” and “Setup > Oscillogram Background Setup” menu commands.

CwGet can transfer received symbols to another software now. Data exchange can be made by DXSOFTEX.DLL library. See http://www.dxsoft.com/dxs-exch.zip for details.

V1.12

User can change spectrogram center frequency now. Press “Alt” key and click on the desired frequency by mouse left button to move the frequency to the window center.

The marker of TX frequency is made to help with zero-beat tuning. The TX marker is short thick black line. To change the TX marker position, click on the desired frequency by right mouse button (or by left mouse button with “Ctrl” key pressed).

“Speed Lock” button was made. CW speed is fixed when this button is pressed. Hotkey for this button is “Alt-K”.

“Esc”, “Ctrl-F1” … “Ctrl-F12”, “Alt-F1” … “Alt-F12” keystrokes are transferred to CwType now (for CwType v0.26 and later).

“Alt-S” hotkey for “File > Save Buffer” command was made.

“File > Open Capture File” command opens capture-file for received symbols. If file exist, new symbols are appended to it. “File > Close Capture File” command closes capture-file. Capture-file state is shown in status-line. Hotkey for capture on/off commands is “Alt-L”.

The input bandwidth top margin was increased to 3 kHz.

“Setup > Main Filter > Very Narrow Filter” option was added. It is appropriate for very low manipulation speed only, surely.

The burst filter options “5 LPM”, “10 LPM”, “25 LPM”, “50 LPM” were added.

Data transfer from CwGet to AALog logger (v1.03 and later) was made.

To transfer data from RX-window, double-click on word or select words by mouse. Then select the field from popup-menu. “Scroll Lock” key is transferred into CwType program as “TX/RX” command now.

On-line help was made.

Install/uninstall support was made.

“Free Buffers” field was moved to status bar. Filters parameters and speed of received signal are shown in status bar too.

User can select user-defined charset now (“Setup > User-defined Charset”). Charset is defined by simple text file. See example in SAMPLE.CWG file.

When the burst filter’s time response is changed the envelope detector time response is also adjusted — this helps with very fast keying.

The keys “F1“ … “F12”, “Pause”, “Ctrl-P”, “Ctrl-T” are transferred into CwType program now.

Once more change of algorithm of inter-symbol pause recognition was made.

“Wrong” symbols are shown as dot-dash sequence now.

User can vary bandpass of main filter and time response of burst filter. It is useful on very fast keying (for example on meteor QSO). Sizes and coordinates of windows and other parameters are saving on the command “Setup > Save setup”.

Recognition of badly sent signals (when the operator does not observe the intervals between characters) was improved.

The options are added:

• “OnTop” — to be in front of all windows;
• “AutoGTM” — to automatically jump to the frequency of the strongest signal after detecting a pause longer than eight “dots” in the current signal.
